Greg McNeal doesn't just speak — he arrives. I've brought him in for Decision Days and keynotes at BEST Academy multiple times, and the impact on my students is immediate. He connects with young people in a way that most adults can't — because they know his story is real. The Mindset Shifters framework gives my 6th through 12th graders language for what they're going through, and that changes everything.
We've had Greg on our campus multiple times and the response from students is always the same — they don't want him to leave. He has a rare ability to blend personal narrative with practical frameworks that students can actually apply. The Mindset Shifters series gives structure to conversations our students desperately need to have.
I've tried a lot of curricula over the years. Most feel like they were written by someone who studied people like mine from a distance. Mindset Shifters is different — you can feel the authenticity in every page. Our participants complete it. That never happens. Greg built something that actually meets people where they are.
I've used the Self-Awareness series with my junior and senior students for two semesters and the shift in the room is visible. These are kids who don't respond to typical interventions. They respond to Greg's work because it's real, it's direct, and it respects their intelligence. The Discussion Deck alone is worth the entire investment.
The curriculum is thorough, the framework is sound, and Greg's ability to train facilitators to actually hold a room — not just read slides — is what separates this from everything else I've used. I went through the training not knowing what to expect. I left knowing exactly how to run a session that lands.
We brought Greg in to speak at our annual men's summit and it was the most powerful session we've had in ten years. He doesn't moralize. He stands next to you and shows you a way through. Several men asked about the curriculum afterward and we are now working through it as a full cohort. This work is generational.

The curriculum ascends — each series vibrates at a higher energetic level than the last.
Each color was chosen to match the emotional frequency of the work being done inside that series.
Each series moves you from a lower emotional state to a higher one.
Greg McNeal was born July 29, 1977, in Chicago, Illinois — raised in the Henry Horner housing projects before relocating to the West Side of Chicago. He maintained a 3.7 GPA while excelling as a high-level basketball prospect. What began as a structured two-parent home was disrupted by substance abuse. When both parents fell into addiction, Greg stepped into responsibility far beyond his years, helping raise his three siblings.
He became financially successful in the streets. And then came a federal drug conspiracy conviction carrying a 25-year sentence — later overturned due to a Fourth Amendment violation. But the most important thing that happened during that chapter was not the conviction or the overturning. It was what happened inside.
“While I believed I was helping individuals, I realized the system I participated in was contributing to the destruction of the very families and communities I came from. That realization did not just change my direction. It became my mission.”
— Greg McNealUpon release, Greg relocated to Atlanta, Georgia — not to run from his past, but to rebuild with intention. As a recidivism disruptor, he has dedicated his life to addressing the gap that policy and punishment consistently fail to close: the internal narrative. Mindset Shifters is the most comprehensive expression of that life’s work to date — not a program built in a boardroom, but a curriculum built from lived experience.
Every program, every curriculum, every word Greg McNeal puts into the world carries one intention — to give people the tools their circumstances never did.
Regardless of their past, their environment, or the narratives others have placed on them — every person carries within them the capacity to transform. This is not optimism. This is what we have witnessed.
What has been conditioned can be reconditioned. What has been broken can be rebuilt. What has been silenced can find its voice. The mind changes when given the right tools, the right environment, and the right time.
You cannot build a life of purpose on an unhealed foundation. The inner work is the real work. Every series in this curriculum honors that truth — beginning with awareness and moving through healing before asking anything else of the participant.
Showing up for yourself — consistently, quietly, without applause — is one of the most powerful things a human being can do. Not the discipline of punishment, but the discipline of someone who loves their future self enough to do the work today.
It is proof that you survived what was meant to stop you — and that your survival has something to teach the world. The Mindset Shifters curriculum does not ask you to leave your story behind. It asks you to understand it, own it, and use it.
This is not a program you complete. It is a journey you move through — one series at a time, one truth at a time.
Begin with Self-Awareness (Green). You cannot discipline what you have not first acknowledged. You cannot heal what you have not yet seen. Series 1 is the foundation everything else stands on.
Each series has 7 activities plus a True/False challenge. Do not skip. Each type engages a different part of how you learn: scenario analysis, definition matching, multiple choice, word scramble, short practice, fill-in-the-blank, and word hunt. The variety is intentional.
The reflection questions are not optional extras — they are where real transformation happens. Give them time, honesty, and space. Rushing through a reflection is choosing to stay the same.
This is not a race. Each series is a frequency — a different energetic focus that requires time to absorb. It is better to go deep in one series than to rush through seven. Depth is where the shift happens.
Use the 🔒 Answer Key on each series page to access full instructor answer keys. Complete the Facilitator Certification Exam (70 questions, 80% pass threshold) to receive your official certification.
By the time you reach Series 7 — True Power — you will feel the difference in yourself. That difference is not just knowledge. It is identity. Trust the arc.
Start at Series 1, move in order — no skipping

Use the Roadmap and Frequency pages to explain the curriculum's design to participants
"The curriculum will meet you where you are. Your only job is to show up honestly — and keep showing up."
Each series builds on the last. The arc is intentional — you cannot skip the foundation.
"Healing is not a sign of weakness. It is the most courageous act a person can choose — especially when the world that hurt you taught you that softness was dangerous."
Often the first time they've been asked to observe — not change — themselves. Resistance is common early. By the midpoint of the series, most participants begin to experience relief: the relief of being seen, even if only by themselves. Self-awareness is not painful — the avoidance of it is.
Every other series in the curriculum requires self-awareness as its foundation. You cannot heal what you cannot see. You cannot build discipline without knowing what you're disciplining. You cannot align with purpose if you don't know who you are. Series 1 is not the beginning — it is the entire prerequisite.
Many participants have survived by not looking inward — emotional detachment and deflection are intelligent adaptations to dangerous environments. This series honors that adaptation while gently creating space for something different. It never pathologizes survival. It invites evolution.
Go slow. Normalize discomfort. Create psychological safety before pushing depth. The green frequency of this series is already doing work — trust it. Your job in Series 1 is not to teach. It is to witness. The most powerful thing a facilitator can do is hold space for honest seeing without judgment.
Initial resistance — especially from participants who have learned that vulnerability is dangerous. As the series progresses, many experience a palpable sense of relief and release. Tears are not uncommon. Neither is laughter — the unexpected kind that comes when something long-held finally loosens its grip.
Series 1 built the self-awareness to see the wound. Series 2 begins the process of addressing it. Healing work placed before awareness work often becomes performative — people go through the motions without genuine insight. The sequence is intentional: see first, then heal.
In correctional environments, many participants have never been given a framework to process trauma — only to suppress, medicate, or act out. This series offers language, structure, and permission. Facilitators should be prepared for significant emotional disclosure and have de-escalation strategies and referral pathways in place.
Do not rush to resolution. The healing process is not linear and does not follow a session schedule. Your role is to hold the container steady. Normalize the emotional experience. Remind participants constantly: feeling it is not failing. It is the work. The pink frequency is already creating conditions for emotional softening — trust the room.
"Discipline is not punishment. It is the highest form of self-respect — the decision to honor your future self even when your present self wants to quit."
A noticeable energy shift — the activation that red frequency produces is real. Participants often describe feeling more motivated, more restless in the good sense, more urgently aware that they have work to do. Resistance in this series tends to be about fear of failure rather than fear of feeling.
Self-development work attempted without self-awareness and healing as its foundation tends to become performance — looking productive without actually transforming. The sequence protects against this. By Series 3, participants know what they are developing and why. The building has a blueprint.
For reentry populations, this is often where vocational and life-skills content can be integrated. The curriculum's self-development framework is broad enough to accommodate skill-specific goals while keeping the inner work central. Development of the outer life must be anchored in development of the inner life — or it won't last.
Match the energy. Red frequency is activating — your facilitation style should reflect that. This is the series where challenge becomes appropriate. Push participants to go beyond insight into commitment. Ask: what specifically will you do differently this week? Hold them to it the following session.
The deepest challenge in the curriculum. Purple's frequency produces a focused seriousness — participants often describe a sense of weight and importance in these sessions. Drop-off rates that are common in other programs tend to decrease here: those who make it to Series 4 have already proven something to themselves by showing up through Phase One.
Everything in Phase One and the first half of Phase Two has been preparation for this. Discipline is the multiplier for everything else in the curriculum — it determines whether awareness becomes wisdom, whether healing becomes wholeness, whether development becomes legacy. Series 4 is where the curriculum stops being theory and becomes life architecture.
Structured environments like corrections facilities already demand compliance — but compliance is not discipline. Discipline is self-chosen, internally motivated, and personally owned. This distinction is critical to make explicit with participants. You are not learning to follow rules. You are learning to govern yourself.
Model what you teach. If you are facilitating Series 4, your own life should reflect its principles — or the inauthenticity will register. Participants in this series have enough self-awareness from Phase One to recognize performance. Be real about your own discipline journey. The authority of lived experience is the only authority that works here.
"By the time you reach Series 7, you will feel the difference in yourself. That difference is not a product of the curriculum. It is a product of you — showing up, doing the work, and refusing to stop."
A notable sense of opening. After the intensity of Phases One and Two, Series 5 feels expansive — the gold frequency of illumination producing a quality of clarity that participants often describe as the first time things have made sense. Many experience a convergence moment: "This is why everything happened the way it did."
Purpose discovered before healing and discipline have been established becomes spiritual bypassing — a beautiful vision built on an unstable foundation. The sequence ensures that when participants find their purpose in Series 5, they have the inner infrastructure to pursue it. The why now has the how.
For people whose lives have been defined by what systems decided about them, purpose work is profoundly counter-cultural. This series challenges every participant to define themselves from the inside out — not by their case number, their record, or their circumstances, but by their deepest values and gifts. That reframing is not just empowering — it is statistically protective against recidivism.
Listen more than you speak in this series. Purpose cannot be given — it can only be witnessed into existence. Your role is to ask the questions that help participants hear what they already know but have never said out loud. The gold frequency will do the illuminating. Your job is to not get in the way of it.
A sense of the pieces coming together. By Series 6, participants have enough self-awareness and enough behavioral evidence of change that the mindset principles feel confirming rather than abstract. They are not learning theory — they are naming what they have already been practicing. That recognition is powerful.
Neuroplasticity research confirms that the brain physically reorganizes itself around repeated thought patterns. Series 6 leverages this by providing the tools — visualization, affirmation practice, reframing techniques, and belief architecture — that accelerate the neural rewiring that the entire curriculum has been initiating. The orange frequency of transformation supports this biological process.
Subconscious belief systems are the deepest driver of recidivism — not willpower deficits, not character flaws. The beliefs formed in childhood about safety, worthiness, and possibility continue to run the show long after conscious awareness has changed. Series 6 addresses this layer directly, which is what makes Mindset Shifters different from skill-based reentry programs.
Become a practitioner of what you teach. Facilitators who use visualization, affirmation, and reframing in their own lives teach this series with a credibility that cannot be faked. Share your own experiences with these tools — selectively and appropriately. The orange frequency opens people to new possibilities. Your lived testimony makes those possibilities feel real.
A profound sense of arrival — not at a destination, but at themselves. By Series 7, participants who have moved through the full curriculum carry themselves differently. The shift is visible and felt. The blue frequency of trust and authentic identity supports a quality of presence that is unmistakable. Completers frequently describe feeling like they finally met themselves.
True Power cannot be authentically accessed from a place of unprocessed trauma, undisciplined habits, or undefined purpose. It is not a starting point — it is an earned destination. Every series before this one was building the internal conditions that make genuine, sustainable power possible. Series 7 is the harvest of all that planting.
Financial empowerment, authentic leadership, and legacy building are not typical topics in correctional programming — and that absence is a systemic failure. People leaving incarceration need more than life skills. They need a vision of a life worth building. Series 7 provides that vision and the identity to inhabit it.
Celebrate what has been built. By Series 7, your participants have done extraordinary work. Name it. The blue frequency will hold the emotional gravity of completion. Your role is to help participants not just finish the curriculum but claim what they've become through it. Ask them: who are you now compared to who walked into Series 1?
Every pillar develops progressively across the full curriculum arc
Practical guidance for facilitators moving participants through the complete arc
The roadmap is here. The work is yours to do.
Designed for every environment where transformation is needed and traditional tools have fallen short.
Schools have SEL (Social-Emotional Learning) frameworks, aligned with CASEL — the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning. What they often lack is a curriculum that meets students where their real struggles live — inside the identity wounds, unprocessed trauma, and the fixed beliefs that no standardized lesson plan can reach.
Students who are suspended are three times more likely to come into contact with the juvenile justice system. In districts where zero-tolerance discipline dominates, suspension rates for Black and Latino students are disproportionately high — feeding a pipeline that starts in a classroom and ends in a cell. Mindset Shifters interrupts that cycle at the root: identity, emotional regulation, and self-concept. When a student understands themselves — their triggers, their worth, and their purpose — the pipeline loses its grip.
Across the country, schools in under-resourced communities are closing at an alarming rate — not because the children stopped coming, but because the system stopped investing. When schools close, communities fracture. Youth lose structure, mentorship, and safe spaces. Mindset Shifters is designed to go where traditional systems have pulled back — into community centers, reentry programs, libraries, and living rooms — ensuring that the work of transformation continues regardless of what the district decides.
Most students who leave school early do not leave because they cannot learn. They leave because no one in their learning environment addressed what was happening inside them. Unprocessed trauma, identity confusion, unmet emotional needs, and the absence of a clear sense of purpose drive dropout more than academic inability. Mindset Shifters is the curriculum that speaks directly to those forces — building self-awareness in Series 1, addressing trauma in Series 2, and establishing purpose and vision in Series 5. It gives students a reason to stay and a framework for why their life matters.
MINDSET SHIFTERS IS SEL THAT GOES ALL THE WAY IN.
Self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making — documented, grant-eligible, and woven throughout every series.
Series 2 is built around adverse childhood experiences. Every series creates safety before asking for growth — meeting students where their history actually lives.

Works in classrooms, advisory periods, counselor offices, after-school programs, and alternative settings. No special training required to start.
Staff earn a formal Mindset Shifters credential through the built-in certification exam — documentable for program quality and professional development requirements.

"The students who are hardest to reach aren't hard to reach because they don't care. They're hard to reach because nothing has ever spoken to where they actually are. Mindset Shifters was built to close that gap."

The Core 4 are the four foundational pillars of personal transformation within the Mindset Shifters curriculum. Every series, every topic, every activity connects back to one or more of these pillars. Power. Passion. Purpose. Production. When all four are aligned — your life doesn't just look different. It feels different. You lead with intention, live with integrity, and shift with impact.
Power represents your relationship with the body — your vessel, your engine, your personal headquarters. It's about how you carry yourself, how you move through the world, and whether you operate from intention or reaction. Power is the gateway to discipline, because the body is where habits are formed and broken.
Grounded, present, and capable. Disciplined habits. Consistent energy. You lead from the inside out.
Reactive, inconsistent, easily depleted. Your body runs you instead of you running your body.
Passion represents your relationships — romantic, familial, communal, and creative. It's where your heart, healing, and honesty live. This pillar challenges how deeply you connect, how vulnerable you allow yourself to be, and how clearly you express your truth in every meaningful relationship.
Your relationships energize and elevate you. You give and receive love without losing yourself.
Drained by toxic cycles. Emotional walls or emotional flooding. Disconnection from what matters most.
Purpose is your compass. It reflects your why, your values, and your contribution to the world. In the Core 4, Purpose lives in the mind — it gives clarity, filters distractions, and keeps your identity anchored when circumstances try to define you. Purpose is what makes the discipline sustainable.
Driven and clear. Every decision filters through your why. You move with direction, not just motion.
Wandering, questioning your value, chasing validation instead of vision. The compass is spinning.
Production is the execution arm of the Core 4. It's about what you build, how you work, and the systems you use to deliver outcomes. This is where legacy takes form. Production turns the mindset shift into reality — it's where intention becomes evidence and vision becomes something you can point to.
Producing with clarity and consistency. Your work reflects your values. Legacy is being built daily.
Stuck in procrastination, burnout, or idea loops. Energy without direction. No evidence of the shift.
Honest questions across all four pillars
Am I operating from discipline — or am I being driven by impulse, exhaustion, or old habits?
Are my relationships energizing or draining me? Am I showing up honestly in the connections that matter?
Do my daily choices reflect my values — or am I moving without direction, just reacting to what's in front of me?
Am I building something real? Is my effort creating evidence — or am I staying busy without building legacy?
Every series in the curriculum connects back to one or more Core 4 pillars
Rewire your mind. Reset your life. Speak these with intention.
Power isn't about controlling others — it's about mastering yourself. When you tap into inner power, you stop negotiating with fear, insecurity, or external validation. Every time you speak power over yourself, you train your subconscious to rise instead of retreat. These are declarations of identity — mental armor, soul fuel, and a call to step into your rightful place in your own life.
I am the authority over my mind, my energy, and my emotions. I choose what enters and exits my spirit.
Power lives in my presence. I don't chase — I command. My energy speaks louder than my words.
I am not who I was — I'm who I'm becoming. My past built me. My power moves me forward.
I lead with discipline, not emotion. My choices reflect my values, not my fears.
My body is my temple and my instrument. I honor it with how I move, rest, and nourish myself.
I am grounded. When the storm comes, I don't collapse — I anchor deeper.
I release the need for external validation. My worth is not up for a vote.
Every habit I build is an act of self-respect. I keep the promises I make to myself.
I respond — I don't react. The pause between stimulus and action is where my power lives.
I am built for this. What tried to break me only revealed how strong I already was.
Passion is the fire that fuels your relationships, your emotional depth, and your capacity to connect. These affirmations are designed to open your heart, heal old wounds in love and connection, and remind you that your feelings are not weakness — they are the fuel of your most authentic life.
My heart is open and my connections are intentional. I give love freely and receive it without fear.
I am healing. Every relationship I release has made room for one I deserve.
I communicate honestly. I say what I mean, I mean what I say, and I stand in my truth with compassion.
My emotional depth is a gift. I feel deeply, heal deeply, and love deeply — and that is power.
I break cycles. The patterns that hurt my parents will not define my children.
I deserve relationships that are safe, honest, and grounded in mutual respect.
I show up fully in the relationships that matter. I no longer hide behind performance or people-pleasing.
My inner child is safe with me. I parent myself with the love and consistency I needed then.
I forgive — not because what happened was okay, but because I refuse to carry it any further.
I am becoming someone I am proud to love. My relationship with myself sets the standard for all others.
Purpose is the compass that makes every sacrifice worth it. When you know your why, discipline becomes natural and temporary pain becomes permanent fuel. These affirmations anchor you to the deeper calling that exists beneath your goals — so that when life gets hard, you don't quit, you remember.
I was placed here on purpose, for a purpose. My life is not an accident — it is an assignment.
My gifts were not given to be hidden. I share them boldly, generously, and without apology.
I align my daily actions with my deepest values. What I do today builds the legacy I am leaving.
I no longer live for approval. I live for impact. My why is bigger than any opinion.
Everything I have been through has been preparing me for what I am called to do.
I serve from overflow, not obligation. My purpose fuels me — it does not drain me.
I am building something worth handing down. Every step I take creates a path for those behind me.
I trust the process. Purpose unfolds on its own timeline — not mine, not theirs.
My story is part of my purpose. The pain I survived becomes the lesson someone else needs.
I live intentionally. Every decision I make either advances my purpose or distracts from it — I choose to advance.
Production is where your inner work becomes outer evidence. It is the bridge between who you are becoming and what you are building. These affirmations are a call to execute — not from pressure or panic, but from clarity, discipline, and an unshakeable commitment to the life you have decided to build.
I execute. I do not just dream — I build. Every idea I act on is proof that I am serious about my future.
I am disciplined in the unseen moments — because that is where the real work happens.
I produce from purpose, not pressure. My output is intentional, sustainable, and aligned.
I manage my time like the asset it is. Every hour I invest in growth is compounding my future.
I start before I am ready. Preparation is important — but motion creates clarity.
I measure my progress, not just my effort. Results are feedback — not judgment.
I build systems, not just habits. My life runs on structures that work even when I don't feel like it.
I finish what I start. My word to myself is the most important contract I will ever honor.
I create income streams, not just jobs. My labor builds equity — not just paychecks.
I am a Realionaire. I build a life rich in purpose, freedom, and financial intelligence — and I start today.

Questions? Realionaire@mindsetshifters.org
Each week is tied to a specific topic from the Mindset Shifters curriculum. Begin by reading the teaching — a single paragraph distilling the core insight. Then work through the three reflection prompts honestly. There are no right answers. The only wrong answer is the one you write to impress someone instead of to tell the truth.
Use the blank lines to write your response. Use the mood check-in to track where you are emotionally each week. And use the one-word line to capture the essence of your week in a single word you choose.
One week at a time. One truth at a time. One year to become.
